Security Products Announces Platinum and Gold Winners of 2012 Govies Government Security Awards at GovSec04/03/2012
WASHINGTON, D.C., April 3, 2012 - Security Products magazine, the only integrated product magazine reaching the entire security market, announced Platinum and Gold winners in its 2012 Govies Government Security award competition today. The awards honor outstanding government products in a variety of categories.
The Security Products' Government Security Awards were launched in 2009. With 53 entries this year, participation grew 40 percent over 2011. Earlier this month, the judges narrowed down the 2012 submissions to those achieving top status. Top entries earned the opportunity to display their products in the Govies booth (#2725) at GovSec - the Government Security Conference & Expo featuring the U.S. Law Enforcement Conference & Expo, which is being held April 2-4 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
From the top entries, the following Platinum and Gold designations were announced today:
"It’s exciting to have the opportunity to display so many outstanding government security products in our booth," said Ralph C. Jensen, editor-in-chief of Security Products. "GovSec is an ideal venue for security companies to show off their products to the government industry."
In addition to being honored at GovSec, the winners will be featured on the Security Products website, security-today.com, and highlighted in a future issue of Security Products magazine. The magazine is distributed to more than 65,000* subscribers monthly as well as at trade events including GovSec.
Details about the 2013 Security Products’ Govies Government Security awards will be released later this year.
